ELECTRIC WHEELCHAIRS
Electric wheelchairs are possible on the three ships MS Admiral Tegetthoff, MS Dürnstein and MS Wachau. On board the sister ships MS Admiral Tegetthoff and MS Dürnstein there are special and reinforced ramps to overcome the two stairs when entering the ship.
Heavy multifunctional wheelchairs or care wheelchairs are unfortunately not possible. The ramps are only intended for the boarding area on the ship, but not for overcoming possible stairs on the landing stages.
WHEELCHAIR ACCESSIBLE MOORINGS
Please notice that not Barrier-free entry and exit is possible at all stations. The boarding of the excursion boats takes place at a slight angle, depending on the water level, via a wheelchair-accessible transition bridge to a floating pontoon and then further onto the ship. If possible, ramps are provided for wheelchairs to make it easier to negotiate the entry step. The wheelchair usually has to be lifted for this entry and exit process.
