Already at the beginning of the ride you will drive along the skyline of Vienna, further past the Kahlenberg and the monastery Klosterneuburg. The 2 hour break in Dürnstein offers time to walk around and explore.
There are 18 river power plants along the entire Danube route, nine of which are located along the 350 km of the Austrian Danube. These are operated by Verbund AG, which is also responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of the lock facilities. On your journey you will pass the Greifenstein lock and Altenwörth lock.
