Every Thursday we offer an entertaining Heurigen ride with Viennese songs. Enjoy the Viennese Heurigen music, melancholic, satirical and light-hearted.

Marion Zib from Radio Wienerlied brings the best Heurigenduos of the city to our cozy ship. The musicians are also happy to fulfill the song requests of the guests and invite them to sing along and experience the Viennese Schmäh.

Very often people complain that the Viennese song, which is actually popular all over the world, can be heard far too rarely in Vienna. The DDSG has been bringing the right offer for decades. What distinguishes us from other events- our musicians make real Viennese music and not a tourist program. Our foreign guests on board also appreciate this very much.

What is also extraordinary is that there is no fixed music program. At the beginning of the ride, when the guests help themselves to the excellent buffet, the musicians play discreetly in the background. When the guests have eaten, the musicians go from table to table and fulfill the musical wishes of the guests (as long as the wishes fit the theme of the “Viennese Song Tour”). Via radio microphone the music is transmitted to our onboard system, which allows you to hear the music discreetly throughout the ship. Anyone who feels like it is welcome to sing along.

Marion Zib from Radio Wienerlied has engaged the best Heurigen duos of the city for you. Look forward to a typical Viennese evening with good food, good wines and first-class Viennese folk music.

Course lising

Routing April-October: like route A + B

The tour starts at the Ship station Vienna / City at Schwedenplatz and leads past the observatory Urania, through the “green Vienna” with the forests of the Prater. After the Freudenau Lock the ship sails along the Danube Island, passing a granary converted into a hotel and the Ernst Happel Stadium to the Reichsbrücke station.

Afterwards we show you the “modern Vienna” with the skyline of the Danube plateau, the Danube Tower and the Millennium Tower. Over the Nussdorf lock facility we get to the Danube Canal, where you will experience the “historical Vienna” and interesting architecture: The tour ends in the center of Vienna at the Schwedenplatz station.
