Day 1: Vienna to Bratislava
Embarkation in Vienna-Nussdorf begins at 14:00. At 14:30, it is time to cast off as MS Primadonna sets course for Bratislava. Enjoy a lunch snack on board while the winter scenery of the Danube drifts by, followed by a mulled wine reception to set the mood for the festive journey.
Arrival in Bratislava is scheduled for around 18:00. Explore the charming Christmas markets in the beautifully illuminated Old Town or join an optional guided city walk (approx. 1 hour, ending in the city centre).
In the evening, a festive four-course dinner featuring traditional Christmas goose is served on board. Around midnight, MS Primadonna departs Bratislava and begins the return journey to Vienna.
Day 2: Vienna
MS Primadonna returns to Vienna-Nussdorf at approximately 08:30. After a leisurely breakfast on board, your Advent cruise comes to an end with disembarkation by 09:00. Individual onward travel.

Day 1: Vienna to Linz
Boarding in Vienna-Nussdorf begins at 11:00. At approximately 11:30, it is time to cast off as the MS Primadonna sets course for the Wachau Valley. Enjoy a delicious lunch on board while one of Europe’s most beautiful river landscapes slowly passes by.
In the afternoon, coffee and cake are served as the ship glides through the winter scenery of the Wachau. Cabins are available from 16:00 onwards. In the evening, a delightful entertainment programme awaits you in the ship’s theatre.
Day 2: Linz / Passau
The MS Primadonna arrives in Linz at approximately 9:00. After a leisurely breakfast, disembarkation takes place. Individual return journey to Vienna by train (departures every two hours; surcharge of €20.00 per person in 2nd class).
If advertised and booked accordingly, the MS Primadonna continues the journey to Passau. Along the way, you will experience the impressive river landscape of the Schlögener Schlinge, one of the Danube’s most famous meanders. Arrival in Passau is scheduled for approximately 17:00.

The MS Primadonna reaches Budapest at approximately 09:00. Optionally, you can discover the highlights of the Hungarian capital on a city tour lasting around three hours.
Following lunch on board, enjoy free time to explore Budapest individually. Visit the Castle District, the Great Market Hall, or immerse yourself in the festive atmosphere of the city’s Christmas markets. Departure is scheduled for 16:30.
Day 4: Vienna
At approximately 13:30, the MS Primadonna arrives in Vienna-Nussdorf. After a light lunch on board including one beverage, disembarkation takes place, followed by your individual journey home.

Enjoy the spectacular evening cruise past the city’s illuminated landmarks as the MS Primadonna continues its journey along the Danube.
Day 3: Esztergom & Komárno
The ship arrives in Esztergom at 08:30. Take the opportunity to enjoy an individual walk to the impressive Esztergom Basilica and join a guided tour. At 10:30, the MS Primadonna resumes its voyage, while lunch is served on board.
In the afternoon, the ship reaches the Slovak town of Komárno at 15:30. During a guided walking tour, you will discover the birthplace of the Austro-Hungarian composer Franz Lehár. Afterwards, there is time to visit the local Christmas market at your own pace.
Day 4: Vienna
The MS Primadonna returns to Vienna-Nussdorf at approximately 10:00. After a leisurely breakfast on board, disembarkation takes place by 10:30, followed by your individual journey home.

Day 2: Linz
At 10:30, the MS Primadonna arrives in Linz. Take the opportunity to ride the famous Pöstlingberg Railway, the steepest adhesion railway in Europe, and enjoy panoramic views from Linz’s landmark hill.
In the afternoon, there is plenty of time to visit the city’s festive Christmas markets. Whether at the Main Square, the Volksgarten, or against the impressive backdrop of St. Mary’s Cathedral, a magical Advent atmosphere awaits throughout the city.
In the evening, enjoy a festive concert on Linz’s renowned Bruckner Organ before an entertaining programme in the ship’s theatre. Departure is scheduled for 22:00.
Day 3: Passau
The MS Primadonna arrives in Passau at 09:00. During a guided walking tour, you will discover the picturesque old town of the City of Three Rivers. The tour concludes at the charming Christmas market on Cathedral Square, where you can enjoy the festive atmosphere at your leisure.
At 15:00, it is time to cast off once again as the MS Primadonna begins the return journey to Vienna.
Day 4: Vienna
The ship arrives in Vienna-Nussdorf at approximately 11:00. After memorable Advent days along the Danube, your cruise concludes with disembarkation by 11:30, followed by your individual journey home.

Day 1: Passau
Travel independently to Passau. Take the opportunity to visit the charming Christmas market at Cathedral Square or enjoy a stroll through the festively decorated old town.
At approximately 16:30, a transfer will take you from Passau Central Station or the Donau Touristik parking area to the ship.
On board, you will be welcomed with a light snack before the MS Primadonna sets sail at 20:00. After a shared dinner, an entertaining welcome show in the onboard theatre provides a festive start to your Advent cruise.
Day 2: Melk & Krems
In the morning, you will have the opportunity to visit the impressive Melk Abbey at your leisure. Admission is already included. Around midday, the MS Primadonna continues its journey and arrives in Krems at approximately 15:00.
During a guided walking tour, you will discover the historic centre of this charming Wachau town. Alternatively, you may join an optional coach excursion to Göttweig Abbey and visit its atmospheric Advent market.
In the evening, a festive mulled wine reception awaits on the sun deck, followed by dinner and an entertaining programme in the onboard theatre.
Day 3: Vienna
The MS Primadonna arrives in Vienna as early as 07:00. After breakfast, you will explore the Austrian capital on a guided city tour by coach, including the option to leave the tour at the Kunsthistorisches Museum.
The afternoon is at your leisure. Visit Vienna’s beautifully decorated Christmas markets, including the traditional Christkindlmarkt in front of City Hall or the festive markets in the historic city centre, and enjoy the magical atmosphere of the Advent season. At 23:00, the MS Primadonna departs Vienna and continues its journey.
Day 4: Linz
At approximately 14:00, the ship arrives in Linz. Enjoy a festive concert on the famous Bruckner Organ and experience one of the city’s most treasured musical traditions. Afterwards, there is time to browse the Christmas markets in Linz’s Old Town, at the Main Square and around the historic Parish Square.
The day concludes with an entertaining evening programme in the onboard theatre. At around 23:00, the ship departs Linz and sets course for Passau.
Day 5: Passau
The MS Primadonna arrives in Passau at 08:30. After disembarkation, a transfer is provided to Passau Central Station (ICE 28, departure at 11:34) or back to the Donau Touristik parking area. Individual onward journey.

The Danube Cycle Path is considered the most famous long-distance cycle route in Europe. The most comfortable way to explore it is by cycling daily stages of around 55 to 70 kilometres and spending the nights on board a river cruise ship. In periods of low water, navigation may only be possible between Passau and Vienna, meaning that Budapest may not be reachable by ship. In such cases, daily cycling tours from and back to the ship are organised between the planned starting and finishing points.

Day 1: Passau

Day 2: Wesenufer – Schlögener Schlinge – Linz (64 km)
After breakfast, rental bicycles are handed out (if booked). Your first cycling stage leads from Wesenufer via Niederranna to Au.
Following the ferry crossing to Schlögen (approx. €4.00, payable locally), the route continues through the impressive Schlögener Schlinge and the Danube gorge near Kaiserau. Passing the Church of the 1,000 Angels, you eventually arrive in Linz.
Day 3: Tulln – Vienna (31 km)
Spend the morning visiting the Lower Austrian Garden Show in Tulln (€13.00, bookable on board). Afterwards, cycle towards Vienna with scenic views of the foothills of the Vienna Woods.
After lunch on board, there is time for an individual cycling tour through Vienna (18 km on traffic-free cycle paths). Alternatively, you can join a guided cycling tour or a city sightseeing tour by coach.
Active version: The cycling route leads through the Donau-Auen National Park to Hainburg (54 km). The return journey to Vienna is comfortably made by suburban train (hourly service, direct connection via Handelskai, travel time approx. 70 minutes, ticket approx. €16.00, payable locally).
Day 4: Komárno – Esztergom / Budapest (56 km)
From Komárno, follow the Danube Cycle Path past historic landmarks such as Komárno Fortress and the Roman fort of Kelemantia. The route continues via Esztergom-Štúrovo on traffic-free paths directly to the ship. If you wish, there is time to visit the impressive Esztergom Basilica individually.
In the evening, experience Budapest from the water and enjoy the cruise past the beautifully illuminated landmarks of the Hungarian capital.
Day 5: Budapest & Margaret Island (22 km)
Explore Budapest independently on traffic-free cycle paths or join an optional city sightseeing tour by coach or a guided cycling tour. A particular highlight is a ride to the green Margaret Island in the heart of the city.
Active version: Extended cycling tour to the artists’ town of Szentendre (55 km round trip). The ship continues its journey in the early evening.
Day 6: Bratislava & Meulensteen Cultural Island (40 km)
At approximately 10:00, the MS Primadonna arrives in Bratislava. Optionally, you can take part in a guided walking tour of the Slovak capital.
After lunch on board, the cycling route follows traffic-free paths to Meulensteen Cultural Island, home to museums and galleries worth visiting. Afterwards, return along the same route with various opportunities to stop for refreshments.
Active version: Cycling tour via Hainburg to Schloss Hof and via Devín back to Bratislava (approx. 58 km, including around 6 km on a public road between Devín and Bratislava).
Day 7: Wachau (53 km)
Starting in Krems, today’s cycling stage takes you through the world-famous Wachau Valley, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Passing Dürnstein and Spitz, you follow the Danube towards Melk with magnificent views of Melk Abbey. The destination of the day is Marbach.
Day 8: Passau
The MS Primadonna arrives in Passau at 09:00. After breakfast, disembarkation takes place until 10:00.
At approximately 10:30, transfers are available to the Donau Touristik private parking area or Passau Central Station. Afterwards, individual journey home.

Travel independently to Passau by train or car. Boarding begins at 15:30. From approximately 16:30, a transfer is available from the Donau Touristik private car park or Passau Central Station to the ship. After settling into your cabin, you will be welcomed on board with a welcome dinner.
Depending on the water level, there may be an opportunity to travel by ship to Passau’s historic old town and explore the famous City of Three Rivers at your leisure.
Day 2: Wesenufer – Schlögen Loop – Linz (approx. 64 km)
After receiving your rental bicycles, set off on your first cycling stage along one of the most scenic sections of the Danube Cycle Path. The route leads via Niederranna to Au and continues by ferry to Schlögen. A highlight of the day is the spectacular Schlögen Loop, where the Danube makes a dramatic bend. Passing the narrow valley near Kaiserau and the Church of the 1,000 Angels, you will continue on to Linz.
At around 22:00, the MS Primadonna departs for Marbach.
Day 3: Through the Wachau Valley (approx. 53 km)
Today’s cycling tour takes you from Marbach past the impressive Melk Abbey and through the picturesque Wachau Valley. Following the Danube, the route leads via Dürnstein to Krems, in the heart of the UNESCO World Heritage region of Wachau.
At around 22:00, the MS Primadonna sets course for Vienna.
Day 4: Discover Vienna by Bike (approx. 27 km)
Today is dedicated to Austria’s vibrant capital. Explore Vienna individually by bicycle, using the well-developed cycle paths that lead directly into the city centre.
Optional excursions include a guided city tour by bus followed by a visit to the Kunsthistorisches Museum Vienna, or a guided cycling tour through the city.
Active option: Cycle through the Donau-Auen National Park to Hainburg (approx. 54 km). Return comfortably to Vienna by suburban train (hourly service, no changes required via Handelskai, journey time approx. 70 minutes, ticket €15 per person payable locally).
At around 17:00, the MS Primadonna leaves Vienna and continues towards the Strudengau region.
Day 5: Grein – Linz (approx. 59 km)
At around 21:00, the MS Primadonna arrives in Grein. Today’s cycling route leads past the castles of Wallsee and Pragstein, through Mauthausen and on to Linz. Along the way, you will enjoy beautiful views of the Danube landscape and the recreational area around Lake Pleschinger.
Active option: Extend the route via Enns, Austria’s oldest town, and the magnificent St. Florian Abbey (16 km).
Upon arrival in Linz, return your rental bicycle at the Donau Touristik office. At around 22:00 pm, the final ship passage back to Passau begins.
Day 6: Disembarkation in Passau
The MS Primadonna arrives in Passau in the morning. After breakfast, disembarkation takes place until 10:00. At approximately 10:30, a transfer bus will take you to the Donau Touristik private car park or Passau Central Station for your onward journey home.

Day 3: Danube Floodplains and Bratislava (approx. 40 km)
The MS Primadonna arrives in Bratislava at 08:30. Optionally, you can join a guided walking tour through the Slovak capital. Afterwards, an almost traffic-free cycling route leads to Meulensteen Cultural Island and its gallery before returning to Bratislava.
Day 4: The Puszta and Baja (approx. 55 km)
After lunch, you may join an optional guided tour of Kalocsa Cathedral and the baroque Archbishop’s Palace. Afterwards, cycle on traffic-free routes to the charming baroque town of Baja.
At 18:00, the MS Primadonna departs from Baja and continues its journey downstream.
Day 5: Sava Cycle Path and Belgrade (approx. 35 km)
The MS Primadonna arrives in Belgrade around midday. Optionally, discover the Serbian capital on a guided city tour including Kalemegdan Fortress. The cycling route follows the traffic-free Sava Cycle Path to the popular recreational island of Ada Ciganlija and Lake Savsko Jezero. Those wishing to extend the tour can continue to the historic district of Zemun.
Day 6: Iron Gates and Kladovo (approx. 28 km)
Arrival in Kladovo at 10:00. Cycle to the Ottoman fortress of Fetislam and continue to a winery in the Vrbica/Korbovo region before returning to the ship.
At around 19:00, the passage through the spectacular Iron Gates Gorge begins. This 120-kilometre stretch is considered one of the most impressive sections of the entire Danube. Sunset can be enjoyed at around 20:00.
Day 7: Golubac and Silver Lake (approx. 22–44 km)
In the morning, visit the mighty Golubac Fortress, one of the largest and most impressive fortifications in Serbia. After lunch, the cycling tour starts in Veliko Gradište and follows traffic-free paths to Silver Lake (Srebrno Jezero) and back. Depending on your preference, the route can be extended to Ram.
Day 8: Novi Sad (approx. 46 km)
After breakfast, the MS Primadonna arrives in Novi Sad, once the capital of southern Hungary and today one of Serbia’s most attractive cities. Following the traffic-free Danube Cycle Path, you will ride to a wine tasting near Futog.
Optionally, join a guided walking tour including a visit to the impressive Petrovaradin Fortress.
Day 9: Duna-Drava National Park (approx. 22–46 km)
Today’s cycling tour begins in Mohács and leads through the unspoilt landscapes of the Duna-Drava National Park. Via Kölked with its Stork Museum, continue to the Battle Memorial of Sátorhely before returning to the ship.
Day 10: Budapest by Bike (approx. 24 km)
In the morning, you may join an optional city tour by bus. Afterwards, enjoy an individual cycling tour to Margaret Island. Alternatively, you can take part in a guided city tour by bicycle in the afternoon.
For more active cyclists, we recommend the round trip to the charming artists’ town of Szentendre (approx. 55 km).
At 22:00, the MS Primadonna departs Budapest and cruises through the beautifully illuminated Hungarian capital.
Day 11: Esztergom – Štúrovo – Komárno (approx. 56 km)
Starting in Esztergom or Štúrovo, cycle along traffic-free embankment paths beside the Danube. The route passes through charming villages such as Moča before reaching the historic fortress town of Komárno.
Optionally, visit the impressive Monostori Fortress.
Day 12: Vienna
The MS Primadonna arrives in Vienna at approximately 09:30. Disembarkation takes place until 10:30.
Afterwards, return to Passau by coach or train to the Donau Touristik private car park or Passau Central Station, or extend your stay with an additional night in Vienna.
The return transport of guests’ own bicycles is included when using the coach transfer.

Day 1: Arrival in Vienna-Nussdorf
Individual arrival in Vienna. Boarding begins at 16:00 in Vienna-Nussdorf. At 16:30, the MS Primadonna sets sail on the first stage of the journey along the Donau-Auen National Park. After settling into your cabin, you will be welcomed on board with a welcome dinner.
Day 2: Komárno – Esztergom (approx. 56 km)
The MS Primadonna arrives in Komárno at 08:00. Your cycling tour begins directly at the ship, following mainly traffic-free sections of the Danube Cycle Path. Passing through expansive floodplain landscapes and small villages such as Moča, the route leads to the remains of the Roman fort Kelemantia and on to Esztergom-Štúrovo. The route remains almost entirely traffic-free right up to the ship.
Optionally, you can join a guided tour of the impressive Basilica of Esztergom.
At around 23:00, the MS Primadonna passes through the festively illuminated city of Budapest.
Day 3: Kalocsa – Baja (approx. 55 km)
Arrival in Kalocsa at 07:00. Optionally, you can join a guided tour of Kalocsa Cathedral and the Baroque Archbishop’s Palace, including its historic Archdiocesan Library.
Afterwards, you cycle from the capital of the Hungarian Puszta along the Danube Cycle Path to the Baroque town of Baja. Along the way, you will encounter interesting sculptures lining one of Hungary’s most famous pilgrimage routes. In Baja, the historic town centre and distinctive Town Hall tower invite you to linger.
At 16:00, the ship departs again.
Day 4: Golubac and the Iron Gates
The MS Primadonna arrives in Golubac at 14:30. After arrival, you have the opportunity to visit the impressive Golubac Fortress, one of the most important fortifications along the Danube.
In the afternoon, the ship continues through the spectacular Iron Gates. This approximately 120-kilometre-long gorge is one of the most impressive stretches of the Danube in Europe. In October, you can enjoy a particularly atmospheric sunset here at around 17:45.
Day 5: Belgrade and Ada Ciganlija (approx. 35 km)
Arrival in Belgrade at 08:00. After breakfast, there is time to explore the Serbian capital individually.
Alternatively, you may join an optional city tour including a visit to the famous Kalemegdan Fortress.
In the afternoon, the cycling tour follows mostly traffic-free paths to Ada Ciganlija, Belgrade’s popular recreational island on the Sava River.
Day 6: Mohács – Baja (approx. 36 km)
Arrival in Mohács at 13:30. The cycling tour leads from the town famous for its traditional Busó Carnival along the Danube Cycle Path to the Baroque town of Baja.
At 19:00, the MS Primadonna departs for the next stage of the journey.
Day 7: Budapest by Bike (approx. 22 km)
In the morning, you have the option of joining a sightseeing tour of Budapest by coach.
Afterwards, cycle along the well-developed Danube Cycle Path to the traffic-free Margaret Island or through the historic centre of the Hungarian capital. Following the ride out of Budapest, enjoy a late lunch on board.
In the afternoon, the MS Primadonna cruises through the scenic Danube Bend, often referred to as the “Hungarian Switzerland” because of its beautiful landscapes. Passing Visegrád, the ship sets course for Vienna at 14:00.
Day 8: Disembarkation in Vienna
The MS Primadonna arrives in Vienna at approximately 14:00. Disembarkation takes place by 14:30. Individual onward journey.

In the event of a rebooking requested by the customer (e.g. change of cabin category), a handling fee of €35.00 per booking transaction will be charged if the change is made from 83 days before departure. From 10 days before departure, the handling fee is €70.00 per booking transaction.
Rebookings to a different cruise or travel date are only possible by cancelling the original booking and making a new reservation.
Failure to commence the trip without prior cancellation shall be considered a withdrawal from the travel contract (= no-show) and will be subject to a 100% cancellation fee.
