The A-ROSA App is your travel companion before, during and after your cruise. In addition to your travel information and passenger details, the app provides the daily onboard programme, port information, SPA offers and much more.
Nearly all ports of call are also starting points for exciting shore excursions. The A-ROSA App and the A-ROSA website provide descriptions of all available tours.
Excursions can currently only be booked on board. From 1 December 2026, they can also be reserved in advance online at www.a-rosa.de/ausfluege Opens in new window and via the A-ROSA App.
A-ROSA acts solely as an intermediary for the excursions offered. The excursions themselves are operated and guided by local agencies, which are therefore the official organizers of the respective tours.
The onboard languages are German and English. All information provided on board, including the daily programme, notices and menus, is available in both languages.
Boarding, check-in and access to your cabin are available from 15:00 at the earliest (from 12:00 for Suite guests).
The official end of the cruise and check-out on the day of departure is no later than 09:00. Please take this into account when planning your arrival and departure.
In some cities, port authorities may assign several ships to the same berth due to high traffic volumes. In such cases, the ships are moored side by side. This may restrict the view from your cabin. Unfortunately, we have no influence over these berth allocations.
Please note that on some ships, deck changes are only possible via stairs. For personalised advice regarding accessibility and individual requirements, please contact the A-ROSA Service Center on +49 381 202 6001.
Please refer to the published itinerary for the planned route. Changes may occur and remain subject to modification.
Short-notice schedule changes may become necessary due to high or low water levels, maintenance work, or traffic-related waiting times at locks and bridges.
In rare cases of exceptionally high or low water levels or force majeure, parts of the journey may need to be operated by coach or rail instead of by ship. In individual cases, overnight stays in hotels may also be required.
Please pay close attention to all safety instructions provided through signs, announcements and the safety video. On the day of embarkation, a mandatory onboard safety briefing will be conducted for all passengers.
Some of the ports visited during the cruise may levy additional local charges, such as bed taxes, tourism taxes or cultural promotion fees, which are not included in the cruise fare.
As the tour operator, A-ROSA is required to collect these fees on behalf of the respective cities and forward them accordingly. The charges will be billed to your onboard account.
Our crew is passionate about providing you with an unforgettable holiday experience. If you are satisfied with the service, our crew members will appreciate a gratuity as recognition of their efforts. Most guests choose to tip between €8 and €12 per guest per day.
At the end of the cruise, a tip box for the entire crew will be available at reception. Of course, you are also welcome to give tips directly to individual crew members at any time. Tips can also be conveniently charged to your onboard account or paid by credit card at reception.
The onboard currency is the euro. During the cruise, you will use your personal cabin card, which also serves as the key card for your cabin.
At the end of the cruise, your onboard account can be settled in cash, by Maestro/EC card, or with American Express, Mastercard or Visa credit cards. Unfortunately, payment by stored-value card or travellers cheque card is not possible for technical reasons.
When paying by credit card or Maestro/EC card, you will need to enter your PIN.
Please observe the applicable customs regulations regarding the import and export of goods and currency. When crossing EU borders, customs and border controls may take place, including identity checks (passport controls).
