For one evening, the Danube turns into the Emerald Isle. Celebrate Ireland’s most famous holiday on a scenic cruise through Vienna and immerse yourself in the unique atmosphere of St. Patrick’s Day.

Providing authentic Irish folk flair is the band Medley, performing traditional music from Ireland, Scotland, England and North America. Lively folk favourites, sea shanties and Celtic classics blend with heartfelt ballads, earthy blues and bluegrass to create an experience reminiscent of a lively evening in an Irish pub.

A buffet of traditional Irish specialities adds to the experience. Savour hearty favourites such as Shepherd’s Pie, Beef & Guinness Stew and Fish & Chips, bringing the flavours of Ireland straight on board.

On the dance floor, Irish classics and popular pub favourites keep the atmosphere lively throughout the evening. Those who wish can embrace the tradition by wearing something green and celebrate St. Patrick’s Day against the backdrop of Vienna’s skyline.

The CruiseRoute / Itinerary

The cruise begins at the Vienna / Reichsbrücke landing stage and initially heads downstream towards the Freudenau Lock. After turning around, the ship heads upstream, offering views of Vienna’s modern skyline, including the DC Tower, Danube Tower and Millennium Tower, towards Klosterneuburg / Korneuburg. The ship then turns at a suitable point and returns to the Vienna / Reichsbrücke landing stage, travelling along Danube Island and through the green Danube floodplains.

Take the U1 underground line to Vorgartenstraße station. From there, it is approximately a 5-minute walk to the Vienna / Reichsbrücke landing stage.

  • Walk across Reichsbrücke to the landing stage

Boarding takes place from 18:15 to 18:45 at the Vienna / Reichsbrücke pier. Departure is scheduled promptly for 19:00. Please have your booking confirmation or e-ticket ready. Displaying the ticket on your smartphone is sufficient.
