The MS Wien hull is made entirely of steel. It has a normal bow shape and a transom stern. Loose seating is available on all decks for around 150 passengers. A total of 200 passengers can be accommodated on the new ship. All technical equipment on the ship already complies with the new EU shipping technology regulation.
On the main deck there are: a air-conditioned salon with around 90 seats , a modern kitchen, toilets including wheelchair-accessible toilets for the disabled, a large bar and rear access to the upper deck. Buffet areas and a spacious dance floor are available for events .
An air-conditioned salon with around 60 seats, a lounge on the open deck with around 30 seats and the wheelhouse define the upper deck. The lounge can be used open or closed depending on the weather. On cooler days, radiant heaters also create a feel-good atmosphere on the open deck .
From the upper deck you get to another large open deck, which takes up almost the entire length of the ship. Some benches also ensure a comfortable stay on board. A special highlight is a live cam, which – mounted on the bow – constantly shows the impressions and pictures of the shipping. The live images from the captain’s point of view are transmitted on the screen on the upper deck.
As part of the Great Danube Tour the ship drives the Danube Canal downstream, past the Urania and the Kunst Haus Wien to the Freudenau lock, where the vertical meters of the dammed Danube are overcome. The journey can be ended at the “Wien / Reichsbrücke” pier or you can continue back to Schwedenplatz via the historic lock system in Nussdorf via the Danube Canal.
The MS WIEN can of course also be rented for events of all kinds and impresses with a modern interior and excellent technical equipment.
